The European Union does not want to completely sever economic ties with China, but it is necessary to minimize the risks that exist due to dependence on China for the supply of critical raw materials. This was announced by German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock.

The minister said that Beijing is increasing systemic rivalry, and it runs counter to the international rules of the game. The words of the German Foreign Minister on Friday, May 12, quotes TASS.

Burbock advocated reducing economic dependence on China and urged to learn from past mistakes, referring to the existing energy dependence on Russia. The politician noted that the EU states should develop close cooperation with each other.
