About 20 central stations of three metro lines of the capital will be repaired. We are talking about a number of stations of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya (purple), Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya (light green) and Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya (gray) branches.

In particular, stairs, wooden and metal elements will be repaired there, water intrusions will be removed, coatings will be restored, and ceilings will be plastered. About this on Saturday, May 13, informs Moskva agency with reference to the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.

They noted that a large-scale program of repairing metro stations will begin in the city. Many of them have been in operation for decades.

The deptrans indicated that the restrictions due to repairs would be short-term and would not cause much inconvenience to passengers of the Moscow Metro. Work will be carried out around the clock. Most of the stations that will be repaired are interchange stations. The cessation of the movement of metro trains is planned for the weekend and only for the holiday season. Passengers will be informed about each restriction separately.

Previously opened in Moscow after repair and reconstruction section from the Avtozavodskaya station to the Orekhovo station of the Zamoskvoretskaya subway line. The work took six months. In parallel with the construction of the tunnels, the infrastructure at all closed stations was updated.
