Diet expert Larisa Faerman explained how to wash vegetables and fruits to get rid of pesticides and wax, writes April 29 agency “Prime”.
As the nutritionist said, if you take not organic, but ordinary vegetables and fruits, you need to properly process them before eating. In particular, products can be soaked in warm water with vinegar or a special product for washing fruits and vegetables for 10-15 minutes. According to the expert, this will help get rid of traces of pesticides and wax.
Faerman added that there are plenty of vegetables and fruits that can be eaten with the skin on, thanks to its high content of vitamins and antioxidants. These are not only the usual cucumbers and pears, but also beets and raw potatoes.
