In Colombia, four children were found alive in the jungle of Caqueta department who were flying on a crashed Cessna 206 plane. They spent 16 days in the forest, President Gustavo Petro said on Twitter.
The age of minors who managed to survive in the jungle: 13 and 9 years, 4 years and 11 months. After a long search, they were found by the military. At the moment, the lives of children are not in danger.
“After an intense search conducted by our armed forces, we found alive four children who were missing as a result of a plane crash in Guaviar. A joy for the country,” he said. His words leads RIA Novosti 17 May.
A Cessna 206 en route from Araraquara to San José del Guaviare sounded an emergency on May 1 and reported an engine failure. It was only found after more than 370 hours. The dead pilot was found on the plane. The six passengers, including four children, were not there. Later, the bodies of two more people were found: the co-pilot and the mother of the children.
